Our Story
More to come with our story and history!
Meet the Pastor
Pastor JP

Greetings, friends! My name is Pastor JP. I recently moved here from the island of Kauai with my wife and two kids. Whether you are a first time visitor, long-time member, or thinking about coming to church, welcome!
A huge part of my story is marked by adoption. I was adopted from Seoul, South Korea at the age of four months and grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota. While adoption was a one-time-event, finding home and finding places that feel like home (warm, welcoming, hospitable, and friendly) has been an ongoing part of my story. From friends, to church, to college, work, grad school, or neighbors, I've been fortunate to find many places to feel at home and call home. Here at Good Shepherd, we hope you'll find (another) place to call home. We're a welcoming bunch: thoughtful, kind, relational, and eager to serve.
If you're looking for a place to call home we hope you'll stop by and give us a try. We look forward to meeting you!
Meet the Church Officers

Pat Pehling
Church Council Vice-President
I was born in Rhode Island but grew up in Snohomish. I am retired but love to spend time trailriding and taking care of my two horses and my 3 cats. I am involved in the County 4-H Horse Program and have been a 4-H volunteer for over 50 years. I feel that my organizational skills and knowledge of meeting protocol has been an asset to Good Shepherd. I am very excited to have Pastor JP with us and see what adventures he leads us to experience in the years ahead.
Meet the Ministry Team
Dedication. Passion. Humility. Kindness.
Here at Good Shepherd, we have a two-part mission that prioritizes the community gathered and the community sent. What this looks like is a two-part vision that seeks to strengthen and edify those within our walls and an outward focus to serve and connect with those beyond our walls. Here's our team!

Gifts
Donna Garland
I grew up on Fobes Hill on the property that my parents bought it in 1962 (Doug and I are living on this property now). I am a Washington and Snohomish County native. In my free time I like to kayak, hike, bike, cross country ski, camp, walk the dog, read, knit, and visit our grandson
I am the church council gifts chairperson. I feel God has gifted me in the following areas: An understanding and interest in accounting, analytics, knowledge of various software, and organizational skills
After serving on both the transition team and the call committee, I am very excited to have our new pastor and start turning our focus to GSLC purpose and future. It will be a time of spiritual growth and discernment for all of us. Where do we want to go? How do we want to serve our community?

Worship
Karla Kloes
I grew up in Port Townsend, WA. It is a small town where my graduating class was only 123 and many of us went from kindergarten all the way through.
In my free time I like to be with family and the outdoors. I like to ski, backpack, camp, hike, dirt bike, and go to the beach. I also enjoy studying the Bible and attend three different Bible studies.
I am the youth and adult fellowship chair on the council.
I am not completely sure where God has gifted me but have taken care of people my whole life.
What excites me about the year ahead is having a new pastor. I love Pastor JP's energy and enthusiasm for Christ and am looking forward to new possibilities of ministry for our church and what God has in store for us.
